CASUAL LABOURER (FACILITIES)

Term of Employment: Up to 200 days in a 12 month period, as per the CUPE Local 907 agreement
Work Location: Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre (QSWC) @ 265 Cannifton Rd, Belleville
Salary: $23.59 per hour, plus $1.85 shift premium as applicable

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operating city vehicles and equipment as required.
- Operating various construction equipment and machinery.
- Maintain building cleanliness and sanitation including lobbies, washrooms, hallways, meeting rooms and the outside perimeter of the building(s).
- Operating non-power tools (i.e., hand saw, bolt cutters etc.)
- Performs preventive building maintenance duties such as drywall, plumbing and electrical repairs.
- Repair holes in walls, and paint interior and exterior walls.
- Work independently and as a part of a team.
- Undertake other duties as assigned, in support of the City and Departmental objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid full class G Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Must be physically fit and able to work in a variety of conditions.
- Experience in building maintenance and repairs.
- Candidates are required to have their own safety boots.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Customer service experience.
- General knowledge of plumbing and electrical an asset
- Pool and custodial experience considered an asset.
